Class 2/3D

·        Welcome to 2/3 D. My name is Miss Devlin and this is my fifth year at Woodhill State School. Please feel free to call me Sarah.

·         Homework folders - refer to the sheet glued into the book in your child’s folder.

·         Homework folders must come to school every day.

·         Please drop your child off in the under covered area and meet your child under the Shebang. I will collect and return your child in the afternoon to these areas.

·         Our school rules are: Be Safe, Be a Learner, Be Responsible and Be Respectful. We also have the class dojo, earn 25 points and receive a colourful ‘gotcha’ and possibly an ice block if your name is drawn out on parade (2 per class).

·         The motto in 2/3 D is to ‘Give it a Red Hot Go!’

·         Brain food (around 10am) - it is encouraged that your child brings a piece of fruit or vegetable. Please pack a water bottle every day for your child.

·         I have some children who don’t have all of their books, stationary or USB. Different subjects require different books and I would like to get them all labelled correctly ASAP. Please email any issues or queries.

·         Parent helpers - we have our reading groups on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any help is greatly appreciated on any day. You must have completed the volunteer induction training.

·         Your child’s goals are sent out each term which are based on your child’s individual achievements and abilities.

·         We have a ‘no hat no play’ policy. Please write your child’s name on your hat.

·         Stop drop and go. Do not overtake and please use our crossing. Please advise if you require a label with your surname (for your dashboard) to assist the teachers on duty.

·       Newsletters will be produced fortnightly and are online only ( If you have the ‘Q schools’ app you will receive notifications (make sure push notifications are enabled on your device, search for Woodhill State School and select it as a favourite). Limited paper copies are available at the office.

·         Q Parents website allows parents to access information about your child and communicate directly with the school (Reports, absence details, outstanding invoices). Registration details have been emailed out.

·         There is a face book P and C page. Please read the rules and expectations of the page.

·         If your child is absent from school please phone or email the office before 9:00am. Text messages will be sent to explain absences.

·         If your child is late, they are required to collect a late slip from the office. All children must be signed out at the office if they are going home early.

·         Any further questions (no matter how big or small) please email.
