English - The genre focus for this term is persuasive. Students will be viewing, reading and constructing a variety of persuasive texts this term.
Guided Reading - Reading groups are on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of each week. Activities include guided reading, comprehension, spelling, vocabulary and dictionary work.
Maths - Numbers to ten thousand, multiplication, time, fractions and data collection and graphing.
Science - Living things, classification and lifecycles.
HASS - Celebrations and Commemorations.
Health - Strategies to promote health and wellbeing.
Dance Fever - Tuesday 10:00 - 10:40
Music - Wednesday 9:25 - 10:05
Japanese - Thursday 9:45 - 10:45
Homework - Homework is set on Tuesdays and returned on Mondays. Homework will consist of daily reading, spelling words, timetables and a maths or English task.
Reading - Students will be given time to borrow books from the library for reading in class and at home. A reading log at the front of their homework book is to record the books the have read.
