In the event that your child is unable to attend school, please contact the administration team to advise of the reason for the absence. Parents/caregivers can phone the school on 5548 9222 or email studentabsence@woodhillss.eq.edu.au at any time (24hrs) with the reason for their child's absence.
If we are not contacted by the parent/carer then the absence is noted on our system as an unexplained absence and an SMS will be sent to the parent. If there is no response to the SMS, then an unexplained absence letter will be sent home when your child returns to school.
The school is required to record explanations for non-attendance and therefore monitors student attendance and reasons for absences on a daily basis.
