Dear Parents and Caregivers,
My name is Miss Sarah Devlin and this will be my 10th year teaching at Woodhill State School. I have been lucky enough over the years to meet or chat with most of the students in our new class. Welcome to the new students and families. The first day back of school is special for both teachers and students. I am sure that over the course of this year, we will experience many wonderful moments, times to laugh and celebrate together, and also times to work hard. I am looking forward to the new school year and the chance to learn and grow with your child.
Thank you to those parents who have sent in all of your child's resources. We will have the fun job of organising them on the first day. Homework will commence in week 3. This will include reading; number facts practice and spelling words. Please send in your child's empty homework folder.
Communication this year will be via email (sldev0@eq.edu.au), phone call or face to face. If you have any concerns or questions, please ask. This upcoming year will be a very exciting and a fun filled year.

Handle with Care If your family is experiencing difficulty at home, I would like to provide additional support at school. I understand the details are not always to be shared and that is ok. If your child is coming to school after a difficult night, morning, or weekend please message me 'Handle with Care' via email at sldev0@eq.edu.au Nothing will be said or asked. This will let me know that your child may need extra time, patience, help and a lot of love during the day. As always, we are a TEAM and I want to help your child thrive in school! |
